One public canvas, one million pixels
Milliondollarinternet is a public one-million-pixel canvas where people, creators, products, tools, and websites can purchase an available space, add artwork, and connect it to a destination on the web. Standard space is sold in 10 by 10 pixel units for $10 per unit. Each completed placement also receives a permanent ownership card and a precise canvas-location URL.
The project is inspired by the original million-pixel internet experiments, rebuilt for modern browsers with zooming, touch selection, multiple-area purchases, animated GIF support, permanent owner pages, and a public leaderboard. A completed purchase is a one-time placement rather than a recurring advertising subscription.
Permanent means part of the public record
We intend approved, fully paid placements to remain visible for the operating life of the service without a recurring display fee. Placement is subject to the published Rules and Terms, including moderation, valid payment, legal requirements, safe destinations, and continued operation of the service. It does not promise traffic, sales, investment returns, or ownership of the domain or software.
